Working with Generated Visit Notes

When you finish recording a visit, Scope automatically transcribes the audio and generates a structured clinical note based on your selected template.

How Notes Are Generated

Scope's AI listens to your patient conversation and transforms it into structured clinical documentation:

1. The audio is transcribed in real-time
2. The AI analyzes the transcript for clinical information
3. Content is organized into the sections defined by your template (e.g., Subjective, Objective, Assessment, Plan)
4. The final note is presented for your review

The AI filters out small talk and organizes clinical data automatically. You don't need to speak in any special format - just conduct your visit naturally.

Editing Notes with "Ask Scope"

Instead of manually retyping sections, you can use the "Ask Scope" chat to make AI-powered edits instantly.

1. Look for the "Ask Scope to do anything..." chat box on the right side of the screen
2. Type your editing instruction
3. Press Enter - Scope will read the current note and apply your changes

Example Editing Commands

Here are some common ways to use Ask Scope for editing:

• "Add more clinical justifications to the plan" - Expand reasoning for treatment decisions
• "Make the tone more concise" - Shorten verbose sections
• "Expand the assessment section" - Add more detail to your clinical reasoning
• "Add the patient's blood pressure reading of 130/85" - Insert specific data points
• "Change the follow-up from 2 weeks to 4 weeks" - Update specific details
• "Remove the social history section" - Delete unnecessary content

Reviewing Changes

After Scope processes your edit request:

1. Changes appear highlighted - green for additions and red for deletions
2. Review the suggested updates
3. Click Accept to finalize the changes
4. If you don't like the changes, click Reject and try a different instruction

Manual Editing

You can also edit notes directly by clicking anywhere in the note text. The editor supports standard formatting including headers, lists, bold, and italic text. Your changes are saved automatically.
